"Lovable owners" Everything is freshly prepared here and that's how it tastes. The goulash soup tasted like grandma made it herself, if someone has seen ratatouille, he knows what I mean. The portions were hearty and the home cooking was delicious. Price performance ratio are great. I will gladly come again.

We always like to visit Werner and Gudrun! The food is great and the service very friendly. Highly Recommended!

Dear hosts and the best Franconian cuisine far and wide. For over 300 years, this wonderful and lovely little restaurant is now in Epplas - if it were up to us, it may be another 300 years. Our holiday in Franconia was enriched by the regular visits here incredibly. Every evening refined, creative dishes from Franconia and the region on the day menu, incredibly nice and friendly hosts and heavenly peace in the countryside. We thought it was wonderful and will be happy to come back as often as possible.

If you are looking for good middle-class cuisine, this is the place for you. Tasted excellent. We will be back.

On Saturday I was here for the first time on the occasion of a birthday party. Small and cozy, that's what I like. The restaurant was always full, if a table went, he was occupied again 5 minutes later. We were 12 men, no one had to die of thirst, the drinks were super fast and despite the full restaurant. The food was the force! The duck breast was super tender, juicy and not greasy. The roast venison was so tender that you did not need a knife. The side dishes were perfect. When I'm back in the home, I definitely want to visit again. A very clear recommendation for those who like it rustic :)
